Camp Grit, Grief & Hope 2026
Description

What: A supportive fun environment for children, teens and their family grieving a death.
Who: Camp Grit, Grief & Hope serves children entering 1st grade in September 2026 and up, and class of 2026 High School graduates AND an adult caregiver. An adult is required to attend camp with their child(ren).
When: Saturday, July 11th, Registration from 10AM to 10:30AM, Camp ends at 6PM.
Where: Camp Fish Tales in Pinconning, Michigan: 2177 E Erickson Rd, Pinconning, MI 48650
Cost: $30/ for 1 adult & 1 child, and $10 for each additional person. A combination of grants, sponsorships and individual donations cover the rest of the $125 per camper cost. If your family is able to donate to help cover the full per camper cost there is an option to do so at registration. How: Camp provides a safe place for campers to share and process their grief and tools for caregivers to support their camper. Campers are placed in groups by age/grade and participate in activities throughout the day including swimming, rock climbing, archery, games, and grief/ memorial activities.
Important Information:

Campers are reviewed and accepted on a first come, first served basis with priority given to new campers.

Families will need to provide transportation for their camper(s) AND have a registered caregiver attend with them.

Snacks, lunch, and dinner will be provided. Please disclose any allergies in registration form.

Any medication needed during duration of camp must be administered by parent or guardian.

Only registered participants can attend. Please ensure outside childcare for non-eligible children.
